  1. This incense from Lab Organics. I have been looking into scent and its role in supporting our parasympathetic nervous system (the part of the nervous system responsible for promoting relaxation, digestion, and overall balance in the body). As someone who has spent years managing chronic fatigue, supporting my body to be in the parasympathetic nervous system has been a pivotal aspect to healing. Scent can support the vagus nerve by stimulating the olfactory system, which has direct connections to the brain regions that regulate the autonomic nervous system. The vagus nerve is a key part of the parasympathetic nervous system. I have found that tuning into ways I can change state through different scents super comforting.

  2. On the same note – I love Ylang Ylang essential oil and I use it as my perfume. Ylang Ylang Essential Oil is known to help with uplifting mood. One of its main chemical constituents, germacrene, gives the oil natural abilities to soothe. I also just really love the smell of this essential oil. Essential oils are a fab alternative to mainstream chemical perfumes as well.

  3. My third favourite – this audio book! Rewire, Break the Cycle, Alter Your Thoughts and Create Lasting Change, By Nicole Vignola

  4. This Vagus Nerve Stimulator – Pulsetto Vagus Nerve Stimulation Device. I have been using this in the morning and evening to help activate my vagus nerve and to help calm myself down when I feel more emotional or stressed than I would like. It's been really helpful and is a nice way to bookend my days.
